Richard Staley, Associate Professor, Department of History of Science, UW-Madison Professor Richard Staley explores the role of science in the First World War. Specifically, he looks at two major tests conducted after the war which expose some of the characteristic features of scientists' engagement in the war. He looks at Alfred Binet's intelligence tests and Arthur Stanley's expedition.
