The Mississippi River serves many. People can choose to recreate on and relax alongside it. One of the less-thought of activities taking place on the river is shipping. Annually nearly 10 million tons of commodities travel past St. Paul along the river. This results in helping Minnesota maintain a position within the global marketplace.
